I don’t even know where to start with this cutie! If I didn’t already have 6 dogs plus a foster, I would have brought him home with me! Riddler is an all-around perfect dog. He plays well with other dogs, big and small, and manages to adapt his playfulness to match with his playmate. He stood nice and tall until I patted my chest for him to jump up. He didn’t exactly jump though, he gently extended his legs up to me with no weight or effort. I had to share two videos because he was so cute!
Riddler has been at JARM since April 2017 and no one can figure out why. The only thing I can think of is that he does not like cats, he likes to chase them. Riddler is great with kids as well. This terrier/pit mix was abandoned in a home when they moved and left him behind. He has been through enough and now needs his fur-ever home. Who will love him like he loves everyone else?
Pretty Girl is just that, a beautiful kitty cat. She is 10 years old and was recently transferred to JARM from another shelter the beginning of August, so we don’t know much about her background. As soon as I walked in the shelter, she was standing in the middle of the room just looking up with those beautiful eyes. She does like to eat, gets along well with other cats, I even saw her sharing a bowl with another kitty. She is a bit of a big girl, but I believe that only makes her cuddles more comforting and affective.
Pretty Girl like all other cats. She needs and deserves, a loving home to be herself. She likes to cuddle, and wants her own space when she’s done. I would encourage anyone to go visit the Cat Room at Jasper Animal Rescue Mission and take a special look at Pretty Girl!

What a sweet girl! Gypsy has been hosted at Palmetto Animal League since August 2014, yes I said that right, 2014! She is a four-year old, and I believe she is a Catahoula mix. She is beautiful! During her three years under PAL, two of those years were spent in a long tern foster home. She lost her foster back in October 2016, when Hurricane Matthew blew through Hilton Head. From what I am told she was extremely attached to her foster mom and was sad to come back to PAL. Playing with her, I fell in love. She was gentle and sweet. They say she attaches to females faster than males, and LOVES to go on long walks and runs. She is great with other dogs, and matches any temperament to fit her surroundings. Once she gets to know you and lets her walls down, she even like to wrestle with her friends and parents. This special girl has beautiful markings to match her beautiful personality.
A cat who marches to the beat of her own drum. She is a beauty who loves attention, and to bathe in the sun. She spends much of her time lying on the window ledge most of her day until she wants attention, then look out, she’s in your lap! Periwinkle was an owner surrender in February 2017 with two other kitties, who have since been adopted. At first, she is a bit timid and shy, but once she sees you often and gets to know you, she opens to be the loving cat we have all come to love.
Periwinkle does very well with other cats in her play area. She will be a playful kitty when she wants, and a lounge kitty when she doesn’t feel like entertaining. She loves to climb on cabinets and to be up high, so I would suggest having some fun shelving kitty areas for her to chillax!
